Zombie Crawl

Check out Jennifer Brummett's article in the Advocate Messenger about the 1st annual ZOMBIE CRAWL to be held on Main Street in Harrodsburg tonight.
“A crawl is typically an event in which people come together for a common purpose,” said Joy Mosko, who founded the arts council. “It usually begins in one place and ends at another. In our case, this crawl is the beginning of what we hope to be the first of many crawls to come.

“The purpose of our crawl or walk is to create a performance art event with the supreme focus on collecting food for the Back Pack Program for our local schools.”

“We hope this event brings awareness to the Back Pack Program but we also hope that the community becomes more aware of the arts council, as well. It’s important for a community to have an arts culture and we are only trying to enhance and add to what we already have here by creating new events and enlightening our community by showcasing its artists and arts of many kinds.”

The evening will begin at the 7 p.m. at the Mercer County Public Library. The crawl will begin at about 7:15 p.m. It will move down the street toward the Harrodsburg Herald and then take a right onto Main Street. The crawl will end at Olde Town Park. “Thriller” then will be performed by the Studio G performers. After that performance, refreshments will be available. A drum circle will follow, and a classic zombie movie might be shown.
